What is Olikemia™ 5S?
Olikemia™ 5S is an oil-soluble structuring polymer used to build viscosity, clarity and suspension in anhydrous oils and emulsions. It allows formulators to create transparent or translucent gels, balms, and glossy serums without waxy opacity or heavy fatty thickeners.
It produces short-flow, shear-thinning textures with excellent payoff and refined sensorial aesthetics — ideal for modern luxury formats such as shimmery oils, suspended pigment treatments, elegant balms and active-oil gels.

How to Formulate With Olikemia™ 5S
Olikemia™ 5S must be fully melted and dispersed into the heated oil phase:

Add to the oil phase

Heat to 80–100°C to melt and dissolve completely

Maintain mixing at temperature until fully uniform
-
Cool under mixing for a smooth final structure
Note: Olikemia™ 5S can appear dissolved before fully melted, so hold at temperature long enough to guarantee complete polymer activation.
Practical Use Tips

0.5–2%: glossy oils, elegant low-viscosity emulsions

2–6%: structured gels, balms, sticks and high-viscosity formats

Systems rich in esters may require stronger mixing at 90°C, while natural plant oils typically disperse with less aggressive shear
